Details regarding Election of Board Directors: List of Directors on Home page
We will have our annual member’s meeting in October (date to be determined).
One purpose of this meeting, among others, is to elect directors to succeed those whose terms have expired. We are currently in the process of gathering names of potential directors. If you happen to have an interest in serving on the board, please let me know. You can send me an e-mail at President@twinlakesswimtennis.org or track me down at the Pig Jig. If you do not know who I am, feel free to ask our Pool Manager (Cindy Weiss) and she can point me out to you.

Excerpt from 6/16 letter sent from Tom Mumford, Twin Lakes President
Regarding thunderstorms, I wanted to make sure everyone understands the procedure that is to be followed by our lifeguards. In short, once a lifeguard hears thunder, the pool must be vacated and no one can get back in the pool until 30 minutes has passed since the last sound of thunder. This rule comes from the American Red Cross Lifeguard Manual, and is based on the National Lightning Safety Institute's recommendation for waiting 30 minutes after the sound of thunder is heard before resuming activities.

Wi-Fi at Twin Lakes
We have Wi-Fi at Twin Lakes. There is no charge to use the service. If you are asked for a password when trying to access
the service, the concession stand workers should be able to provide it to you. If you bring your laptop to the pool,
please make sure you keep it safe.
Please read through all of the rules and bylaws.
Rule reminders
1. All guests of Twin Lakes must be accompanied by a member, sign in and pay the posted guest fee. This applies
to the entire Twin Lakes community - pool, volleyball, and tennis.
2. The last person leaving the premises shall be responsible for seeing that the property and buildings are completely
secured. This includes locking the front gate. (If you are driving by and don’t see anyone at the club but
the gate is open, please take a moment to lock it up.)
3. All persons are expected to clean up after themselves.
4. All persons are required to conduct themselves in a manner in which will not be offensive to other club
members. Dangerous, rude or bullying behavior will not be tolerated. Lifeguards have the authority
to suspend repeat violators for one day; the Pool Manager and Pool Activities Director have the authority to
suspend violators for up to one week. Continued repeat offenders will be presented to the board for
institution of an extended suspension.
5. The Lifeguards and Pool Manager have complete authority to enforce all rules and regulations and have full
authority to clear the pools and the pool enclosure, including the pavilion, at any time.
6. While not a rule (yet), common sense dictates that no person experiencing diarrhea or other gastrointestinal (stomach) symptoms should enter the pool.
7. Children not 100% "potty-trained" must wear approved swim diapers covered
by snug fitting waterproof plastic/rubber pants. Disposable diapers are not allowed in either pool.
This is important as contamination of the pool results in the pool being closed for 24-hours.
We will have rubber pants for sale in the concession stand.
8. During adult swim, children should be encouraged to use the restroom.
9. Children under the age of 5 should be accompanied to the restroom by their parents (or person responsible for them).
10. Children under age 10 must be supervised by a responsible person (age 14 or older) at all times.
11. The playground is not a supervised area. Children under the age of 8 must be with an adult.
12. ABSOLUTELY NO food, tobacco products, chewing gum, shoes other than tennis shoes, balls (except tennis balls),
skateboards, roller-blades, scooters, bicycles or similar equipment allowed on the tennis courts.
13. Pets are not allowed on the premises.
Our Twin Lakes Newsletter is being emailed to club members. This allows us to get the news out faster as well as save
the club money on paper and postage. If you prefer the paper version, please email us. For address corrections, changes
or to add addresses to the email list, please send an email. We respect your privacy so messages will be sent by blind
